The United States Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency developed the Energy Star™ program to help consumers identify products that save energy. Energy Star windows can help reduce heating and cooling costs by as much as 15%.

Energy Star™ performance requirements follow the energy needs of the country's three primary climate regions. The Energy Star™ label indicates in which region(s) a particular product qualifies. Ideal offers several glazing options to meet and exceed the program guidelines

The energy efficiency of a window is determined by it's U-value. U-values signify the amount of heat that escapes through the windows, walls, roofs and other areas of the house.

NFRC has designed a testing and rating system that makes comparing easy and accurate. Look for the U-factor on the NFRC label located on the window. The lower the U-value, the better the energy performance.
All Ideal windows are certified by the National Fenestration Rating Council. This is the most reliable method of determining a windows energy saving ability.
